Days short of her seventy-fifth birthday on July 9, 2003, at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Montreal, Quebec. Dearly beloved daughter of the late Brian Heward and the late Barbara Logie Heward. Loved sister of Chilion Heward (Virginia McAvity) of Montreal, Quebec, Efa (Donald Greenwood) of St. Catharines, Ontario and Faith (William Berghuis) of Toronto, Ontario. Loved aunt to James and Geoffrey Heward and Patricia Easton, Barbara, Peter and John Greenwood, and Brian and Derek Berghuis, Kate Stevenson and Willa Baynard and to seventeen great-nephews and nieces. Funeral to be held on Monday, July 14 at St. Matthias Church, Westmount at 11 a.m. Burial at St. Peter's Cemetery, Brockville, Ontario on July 15 at 11 a.m. The family is grateful for the compassionate and incredible care of Dr. Errol Marliss, Sylvie and Susanne and his entire team, Dr. Sarah Prichard and all Barbara's loving caregivers.
