BARNSTEAD -- Barbara Elaine West, 72, of Center Barnstead died Aug. 7, 2010, the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Mass. She was born in Olcott, N.Y., to Walter and Hazel (Moore) Murray. She graduated from Newfane High School and was a homemaker for many years before starting and owning her own business, Custom Cateres, as well as being the co-owner and vice president of Xeta Inc. with her husband, Bill. After retiring she spentmore time doing things she really enjoyed such as gardening, cooking for her family and sewing crafts. One of her most famous dishes was her Coney Island Hotdog Sauce, which she made every July 4th. She was also an excellent baker and her Christmas baskets, full of her homemade goodies ,were a treasured item by all. IN HER LIFE: She was predeceased by a brother. Allen W. Murray Family includes her husband of 50 years, William C. West; daughters Cynthia A. Hill and her husband Wayne of North Port, Fla., and Catherine L. West of Concord; son Jeffrey W. West and his wife Michelle of Londonderry; grandchildren Shane, Amber, Brittany, Holly, Chelsea, and Liam; twin great-grandsons Ethan and Collin; sister Linda A. Robinault of Warren, Pa.; aunt Evelyn Sarchia of Medina, N.Y.; nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Services will be private at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen at the convenience of family. Memorial donations may be made to the Lahey Clinic, 41 Mall Road, Burlington, MA. 01803. The Wendell J. Butt funeral home in Penacook is assisting with arrangements.
