GRANT, BARBARA ESTA Barbara E. Grant of Marne passed away December 25, 2003 at her home. Born at Carroll Ridge on September 16, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Murchie and Catherine (Ritchie) Wright. Barbara was a member of the Marne Baptist Church and the Marne Women's Missionary Society. She is survived by three daughters, Olga Waddingham (Rollie), New Maryland, Judy Keilty (Michael), McLeod Hill and Susan Furrow (Stephen), Marne; four sons, Richard Grant (Bonnie), Dumfries, Neil Grant (Jean), Canterbury, Murchie Grant (Cheryl), Island View and Orville Grant (Deanna), Canterbury; four sisters, Ethel Bridgeo, Edmundston, Winnifred Field (Donald), Woodstock, Marguerite Smith (Paul), Grand Bay and Joyce Gibson (Merlin), Woodstock; a brother, Austin Wright (Pat), Saint John; nineteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Howard A. Grant on May 13, 1991, four brothers, William, Clinton, Clifford and Robert Wright and three sisters, Mildred Grant, Minnie Shannon and Edith Dykens. Resting at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic with visiting hours Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Marne Baptist Church on Monday, December 29, 2003 at 2 p.m. Pastor Bev Jewett officiating. Interment will follow at Canterbury Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, Harry Grant, Hunter Grant, Howard Grant, James Keilty and Tommy Furrow. Active pallbearers will be grandsons Dion Grant, Paul Grant, Gordon Grant, Robin Grant, Karl Grant and Colby Waddingham.
