BELVEDERE, S.C.- Entered into rest Monday, January 19, 2004, Mrs. Barbara Cushing Douglas, age 70, of Horseshoe Rd., wife of Mr. F. Marion Douglas and daughter of the late Chesley B. Cushing and the late Nellie Senn Cushing. In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Debbie Hoy, Cindy Owens and Catherine Douglas all of North Augusta, two granddaughters, Sarah McKinnon and Julie King both of North Augusta, and a sister-in-law, Maxine Cushing. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Cushing. She was born in Richmond County but, was a native of Aiken County. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace United Methodist Church in North Augusta. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Rice officiating. The interment will be private. The family will receive friends at the residence in Belvedere this Tuesday evening, January 20 from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that memorials be sent to Grace United Methodist Church, 639 Georgia Ave., North Augusta, S.C. 29841.
