Barbara Cape Smith, age 76, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014 in Shelbyville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Smith; and son, Jerry Thomas Smith. She is survived by sons, Danny Joe Smith of Shelbyville, Larry Ray Smith of Shelbyville, and Luther Scot Smith of Valrico, FL; daughters, Debbie Rogers of Shelbyville and Cheryl Smith of Shelbyville; brother, Dennis Cape of Texas; sister, Betty Brooks of Shelbyville; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25 at the Shannon Funeral Home with Rev. Jesse Baxter officiating. Visitation is 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial is at Grove Hill Cemetery.
