Barbara Ann Nelson, age 79, went to be with the Lord, on Friday, Nov. 23, after a long illness with a lung disease. She was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Hypse. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Calvin George Nelson of Shalimar, Fla.; son, Dan Hypse of Kansas; sons, Mallory and Randy Hypse of California; daughter, Candy Foster of Shalimar; sister, Pat Condon of Iowa; aunt, Chris Seabeck of Illinois, step-children, Rex, Kathy, Bob and Billy of Iowa, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. The viewing will be held on Monday, Nov. 26, 6 to 8 p.m., at Emerald Coast Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Tuesday, Nov. 27, at 10 a.m., at Calvary Baptist Church, Fort Walton Beach, with Pastor Mark Stevens officiating. Burial service will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant Hospice of Niceville. Arrangements are under the direction of Emerald Coast Funeral Home, Fort Walton Beach.
