SMITH Barbara A. Smith, age 62, of Norwalk, died Thursday, January 10, 2008, at her home. She was the wife of Harvey L. Smith. Barbara was born in Norwalk June 4, 1945, daughter of the late Alexander and Helen Kish. In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by her six children, Scott Hartman of Scranton, Pa.,, Marcia Richardson of Beacon Falls, Carolyn Castelan of Trumbull, Lisa Prepaiboon of Wilton, Edward Smith of Trumbull, and Christine Chaffin of Eules, Texas; her brother, Alexander Kish of Newburn, N.C.; her sister, Dorothy Allen of Fairfield; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk, with burial to follow at Willowbrook Cemetery in Westport. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. Raised in Westport and longtime resident of Norwalk, Barbara was the beloved wife of 37 years to Harvey Smith. Beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, forever loved, may she rest in peace.
