BARBARA A.SMITH, 82Homemaker WINTER HAVEN - Barbara A, Smith, 82, of Winter Haven, FL died Wednesday, October 12, 2011 due to cancer at her residence. Born January 30, 1929 in Paxton, IL, she moved here in 1973 from Miami, FL. She was a homemaker, a member of Hope Presbyterian Church; a member of the Lake Region Yacht and Country Club and an Alumni of Rollins College, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She is preceded in death by her husband Lee H. Smith; and is survived by: a son, Stephen Smith, Sr. of Spencer, VA; 3 daughters, Nancy Albers of Winter Haven, Karen Long of Mooresville, NC and Susan Weatherford of Safety Harbor, FL; a brother, Gene Roth of Gibson City, IL; and seven grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm until 1:00pm, Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Thomas McGrath officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeside Memorial Park.
