NORRIS, BILL KENNETH (BK) - Lenoir City was born December 19, 1929, and completed his life on Earth May 7, 2014. Bill was a renowned photographer working for Oak Ridge National Lab and later traveling to Europe. Bill was a veteran serving in the United States Air Force during the Korean War with continuous service to his country through the Air Force Reserve. Bill was an avid wine maker and grew a wide assortment of roses including his own hybrid cross development of several different varieties. Bill loved his retirement years in Melbourne Beach, Florida, where he fished from sunup to sundown. Bill was of the Baptist faith. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Laura (William) Norris; and brothers, Scott, Gene, Hassen, and Bob Norris; and sister Ila Mae Glass. Bill leaves to grief the loss of his life his beloved wife of 59 years, Mildred (Brown) Norris; sister, Thelda Norris; sisters-in-law, Lucy, Joy, and Martha Norris, Myrtle Spears, and Lavern (Walker) Brown all of Lenoir City; nephews David Glass of Cleveland, TN, Kenny Spears and wife Stephanie of Lenoir City; nieces Deborah Warner of De Bary, FL, Marilyn (Brown) Osterday and Annette (Brown) Johnson of Beavercreek, Ohio; great nephew Keith Glass of Cleveland, TN; great niece Shawn Ballew of Cleveland, TN; brother-in-law Archel Brown and wife Mary Catherine of Bellbrook, Ohio; nephews and caretakers Larry Raymond Brown and wife Lesly, Shawn McKenzie; and grandnephew and a delight to Bill, Joshua R. Brown, all of Lenoir City. Special friends of Bill were Buddy and Charlotte White. Bill's shared his fondness for blueberry muffins, fishing, nature, life, and love for Jesus with his grandnephew Joshua who entertained Bill with his skating and basketball antics. Bill will be greatly missed by each of his family members. The family would like to extend grateful thanks to Caris Hospice for the excellent care and assistance provided to Bill. Friends may call at their convenience. Graveside and funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Lakeview Cemetery with the Reverend George Seay leading and praying with the family and friends.
