HomemakerWINTER HAVEN -- Mrs. Betty J. Waddell of Winter Haven died of heart failure Monday (Feb. 9, 2004) at Life Care Center of Winter Haven. She was 82.Born in Columbiana, Ohio, on Nov. 18, 1921, she came to Winter Haven from Lake Wales in 1957. She moved to Maggie Valley, N.C., returning to Winter Haven from there in 1995. She was a homemaker and a former volunteer for the Haywood County Hospital in Waynesville, N.C. She was a Presbyterian.Mrs. Waddell is survived by her daughter, Nancy J. Grable, Winter Haven; son, James Ross Jeffrey, Lynn Haven; stepson, Bill Drasdo, Lake Wales; four grandchildren.Services will be at Van DykesSwaney Funeral Home, 60 W. Martin St., East Palestine, Ohio. Memorials may be made to the Lakeland SPCA of Polk County, 5850 Brannen Road S., Lakeland, or the Polk County Humane Society, 555 Sage Road, Winter Haven, 33881.
