MOORE _ Audrey Louise (nee Corson). Born September 20, 1927 in Vancouver, British Columbia passed away suddenly October 2, 2002 at the age of 75. She is survived by her loving husband Peter - happily married for 45 wonderful years; brother Bill (Muriel); daughter Janice (Grant) and son Alan (Pamela) and grandsons Andrew and Michael. Audrey was a 59-year active member of the Canadian Figure Skating Association who started skating in 1938. Audrey was a member of the Vancouver Skating Club. She competed in skating competitions with her brother Bill and went on to judge and referee figure skating competitions all over Canada, and was an International/ISU judge/referee from 1969 _ 1997 traveling to many parts of the world. Audrey continued to be an active volunteer for events across BC. Her many awards include: 2001 BC/YK Skate Canada Coaches Choice Award, 1998 Sport BC President's Award - In Recognition of Dedication to sport in BC, 1997 CSFA BC Section Volunteer Award of Excellence, 1995 BC Section Region Chairman's Lifetime Achievement Award, 1990 Section Judges Award Distinction for Outstanding Contribution in Figure Skating. Peter and Audrey enjoyed travelling to New Zealand, Australia, Fiji and the Caribbean. They often went RVing with the Seniors Cloverdale Campers and the WIMBCOA group and visited Alaska, Mexico, across Canada and U.S. Audrey was past president of the Shetland Sheepdog Club of BC. In her spare time she was an avid seamstress, enjoyed gardening and toile painting. She will be sadly missed. Service to be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, October 12, 2002, at Henderson's Funeral Home, 20786 Fraser Highway, Langley BC. Reception to follow.
