DUNBARTON -- Arthur Thomas Harding, 83, died Nov. 8, 2008, following a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family. He was born in Swampscott, Mass., and had been a resident of Dunbarton for the past five years. He lived most of his life in Beverly, Mass. Mr. Harding was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific Theater with the United States Navy. Following his military career, he became a pilot with Delta Airlines. He was an avid woodworker. IN HIS LIFE: Members of his family include his wife of 56 years, Marion L. Harding, of Dunbarton; three children, Stig Harding and his wife Priscilla Harding of Dunbarton, Kim E. Forrester of Weare and Ken R. Harding of Lee; three grandchildren Neil Harding and his wife Celeste Harding, Sarah Harding and Joshua Forrester; three great-grandchildren Evan Gendron, Cody Harding and Macy Harding. SERVICES: A graveside service is Thursday at 2 p.m. in Dunbarton Center Cemetery.
