AUGUSTA, Ga.- Mr. Arthur Mac Carter, 70, entered into rest on Friday, November 28, 2003 at his residence. For many years, he lived in Syracuse, New York, but he had recently returned to Augusta. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at 11 a.m. at Carters Mortuary Chapel. Interment will be at Mt. Olive Memorial Gardens, Augusta. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. His memories will be cherished by one daughter, Vanessa Jones, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; two sisters, Eddie Sills, Waynesboro, and Pearl Carter, of Augusta; one sister-in-law, Elizabeth Carter, Keysville; one brother-in-law, George Thomas, Augusta; four aunts, Mary Lou Saxon and Annie Saxon, Keysville, Rosebud Saxon, Atlanta, and Eula Saxon, Philadelphia, Penn.; two uncles, James and Walter Saxon, Philadelphia; eleven nieces, eight nephews, and a dear, devoted friend, Eddie Nelson, Syracuse, N.Y. and a host of friends and relatives.
