ARTHUR JAMES (JIM) CARTER June 13, 1931 - May 13, 2006 Arthur James (Jim) Carter (age 74) of Kamloops, B.C. passed away peacefully with his daughter Bobbie by his side on May 13, 2006 in the Royal Inland Hospital after a brief illness. He was predeceased by parents Arthur James and Josephine Carter and his son Richard James Carter (age 46). He will be dearly missed by his daughter Bobbie (Bill) of Nova Scotia, stepchildren Lynda (Dean), Abbotsford, and Ross (Penny) Fort St. John, as well as brother Ralph (Liz), sister Louise (Don) all of Abbotsford, and grandchildren, Jesse, Will, Elizabeth, Jake, Calvin, Tayte and Dana. He is also lovingly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews as well as many friends. From early days of farming with the family in White Rock and Abbotsford, he went on to work at several mills as well as for Ford and Toyota. He finished his career with Northern Metallic in Fort St. John. After his retirement to Kamloops, Jim continued to work through his many hours of volunteerism for various organizations including Meals on Wheels, Legion #52, Kamloops Air Show and the Special Olympics Winter Games. No service by request. He was remembered by family and friends at an Open House, on Friday, May 19th, at his home in Kamloops. In honour of Jim and in lieu of flowers please make any donations to Legion # 52, Kamloops, or the Cancer Society.
