WHITTAKER Arthur " Pete" H. Whittaker, Jr., 84, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2003 at Earl B. Hadlow Center. Retired from the Seaboard Coastline Railroad and also worked at Bolles High School Football Program Athletic Department. He was a member of the Ionic Lodge F&A.M. #101, Scottish Rite Bodies, Morocco Shrine Temple and I.B.E.W. Mr. Whittaker was a veteran in the U.S. Army during W.W. II in the Pacific Theater. Predeceased by his wife Mary Elizabeth Whittaker in 1995 and a brother Gen. William M. Whittaker. Survivors include twin daughters Carol W. Rogers (Charles) and Betty W. Maser (Daniel), brother Edmund " Bud" H. Whittaker, two grandchildren: Leigh Trigg (Thomas) and Adrienne Rogers and a great-grandson, Nicholas Trigg. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2003 at Jacksonville Memory Garden with Rev. Steve McCollum officiating.
