Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 11:00 AM from New Life Church of God in Christ, 1615 Mulberry St., Montgomery, AL with Pastor Terry Ellison, officiating. Interment will follow in Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, AL. Mr. Carter will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Mr. Carter gave his life to Christ at an early age at Ross Street Christian Church. His warm personality touched many lives and affected so many hearts. Later in life he became an active member of Shiloh Baptist Church for well over 20 years in Orlando, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents James I. and Rosalee Beatrice Carter Sr., his sister Rose C. Seawright, and brothers Theodore and Roy Carter. He leaves to cherish his memory two brothers, James Ike Carter and William Edward Carter; brother-in-law and good friend, Ishmel McDade; sisters-in-law, Meeme Carter, Debra Carter, Ruth Jones, Mariah Farrior, Corean Pawloski, Mabel Phillips. He will be also be missed by countless cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends near and afar.
