CARTER, Arthur June 7, 1920 - October 23, 2002 Mr. Arthur Carter of Stony Plain passed away at the age of 82 years. Arthur is survived by his loving wife, Alice; one daughter, Marilyn (Hans) Bender of Stony Plain; three step-daughters, Gwen Pederson of Campbell River, B.C., Marlene (Jack) Stromquist of Dawson Creek, B.C. and Barbara-Jean (Niels) Christensen of Calgary, AB; one brother, Albert (Theresa) of Edmonton; three sisters-in-law, Hilda Carter of Edmonton, Edith Carter of Stony Plain and Dorothy Carter of High Level, Alberta as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Emma; three brothers, Jack, Robert and Harry; two half-brothers, Webster and Clarence Wolfe. Friends and relatives are invited to pay their last respects on Friday, October 25 at 7:30 p.m. from Parkland Funeral Chapel, 3502 - 44 Avenue, Stony Plain. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 26 at 12:00 noon from Parkland Funeral Chapel with Reverend Marion Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery. If friends desire, memorial tributes may be made to Westview Regional Health Centre c/o Palliative Care, 4405 South Park Drive, Stony Plain, AB T7Z 2M7 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
