Arlene McDonald (nee Torpey) of Yonkers died on Saturday June 28, 2008 at age 61. She was born on September 9, 1946 to Albert and Regina "Jean" (Grace) Torpey in Yonkers where she was raised and graduated from Sacred Heart High School. Mrs. McDonald worked for St. Claire's Friary in Yonkers and previously worked at Andrus Home in Hastings. On April 29, 1967 she married John McDonald Jr. in Sacred Heart Church, he survives. Arlene was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the Amackassin Club and enjoyed the role of Nana to Jake and Dylan. Besides her husband John and her mother Jean Torpey, she is survived by her daughter Kelli (Jamie) Hargraves and her son John McDonald III, both of Yonkers and her two grandsons Jake and Dylan. She is also survived by her two sisters Barbara Imp of Woodbury Ct. and Mary Beth (Tony) Giannelli of Yonkers and her two nieces Reghan and Emily. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball F. H. on both Sunday and Monday from 2-4 & 7-9PM. Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday July 1st at 9:30AM. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery.
