RICE, Archie U. In his 66th year at the Perth Great War Memorial Hospital on Monday, April 7th 2003. Archie Rice of Westport was the son of the late Harold and Hattie Rice. Loving husband and friend of Beverley (Hanna). Dearest father of Jeff (Kathy), Tracey (Gerald) Gemmill, Trudy (Lee) Sickler, Scott (Lisa) and Tim (Heather) and niece Charalee (Harold) Smith. His grandchildren who will have special memories of Poppy are - Whitney, Laurie, Jenny, Nathan, Matthew, Marcus, Cara Lea, Caleb, Leah,Reuben, Lydia and great Grampy to Jacob and Brady. Also mourning his loss is his brother Cecil and his wife Catherine and sister Edna Scott, brother-in-laws Bill Robinson and Algie Lyons. Predeceased by family members Billy, Dorothy, Jack, Fern, Evelyn, Charlie and sisters-in-law, Edythe, Shirley and brothers-in-law Harold Morris and Ron Scott. Many nieces and nephews will also remember their Uncles' friendliness, teasing and wit. Visitation will take place at Lyons Funeral Home, Westport Tuesday 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be conducted in the Free Methodist Church in Westport Thursday, April 10, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. Archie was deeply involved in the Gideon ministry. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Gideons International in Canada would be appreciated by the family.
