MANCHESTER -- Antonio A. Michaud, 95, died Jan. 12, 2011, at Mount Carmel Nursing Home.He was born Oct. 29, 1915, in St. Epiphane, P.Q., Canada, to Jean and Emelia (Dube) Michaud. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.At the time of employment, he worked for 17 years at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.His enjoyed rebuilding bicycles, doing handywork around his home, walking and watching various construction projects throughout the city of Manchester.Members of his family include four sons, Gerard Michaud of New Mexico, Rene Michaud and Richard Michaud, both of California; and Roger Michaud of North Carolina; one daughter, Priscilla Roy of Manchester; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Fernande Demers of Connecticut and Yvonne Pellerin of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by his wife, Rose (Gagne) Michaud.SERVICES: Calling hours will be Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St., corner of Union Street, Manchester. A funeral service will be Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
