DeRuscio-Stuart, Antoinette SCOTIA Antoinette Jean DeRuscio-Stuart, 76, of Red Oak Drive, passed away May 16, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Schenectady, she was the loving daughter of Antonio and Emilia Capobia co-DeRuscio. She graduated from Nott Terrace High School in 1954. Antoinette was employed as a key punch operator at the General Electric Company, retiring several years ago, allowing her to care for her mother and children. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Anthony's Church in Schenectady. Antoinette had a very strong faith in our Lord Jesus and was involved in several rosary and prayer groups. Antoinette enjoyed playing bingo. She also enjoyed staying in close touch with family and friends, which was a passion for her. She enjoyed being surrounded by her family, especially her children and grandchildren whom she adored. She was awarded the "best mother" and "greatest grandmother" awards by her family. Antoinette was very close and dear to her family and a great friend to all who knew her. She was a caring person to all and will be fondly remembered for her gentleness, kindness, generosity, and love to others. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister, Genevieve Kelly and her brothers, James DeRuscio, Joseph DeRuscio and John DeRuscio, all originally from Lenox Road in the Goose Hill section of Schenectady. Antoinette is survived by her son David H. Stuart and his wife Lisa of Esperance; her daughters, Debra A. Ciancetta and her husband David of Duanesburg and Pamela J. Stuart (James Baggs) of Scotia; her brother Peter DeRuscio and his wife Dolores and her sister Louise Lichorat and her late husband Edward and two grandchildren, Christopher and Ashley Ciancetta. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, May 22 at 10 a.m. from the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road, Glenville and will proceed to St. Anthony's Church (Nott Street at Seward Place) for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited and may also call at the Glenville Funeral Home Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Antoinette DeRuscio-Stuart's name to The Inn at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany or St. Jude's Children Hospital. Arrangements by Glenville Funeral Home.
