NELSON (Munroe), Annie Viola NELSON (Munroe), Annie Viola - 83, formerly of Pleasant Valley, residing in Truro, passed away Friday, February 8, 2008, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. She was the daughter of the late James and Susan (Thompson) Munroe. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose greatest love was her family, with whom she loved spending time. She is survived by her daughters, Lois (Arnold) Fielding, Elizabeth (Richard) Bomford, both of Hamilton, Ont., Beatrice (Alfred) Shaw, Valerie Nelson, Bonnie (Nick) Boyd, all of Truro; sons, Jim (Carolyn), Pleasant Valley; Ronald, Red Deer, Alta.; Tommy (Doreen), Hilden; Donald (Darlene), Truro; 25 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; sister, Hazel McCulloch, Truro. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter; son, Rupert; granddaughter, Lisa Nelson, and half-sister, Ada McCullum. Visitation will be today from 7-9 p.m., with a funeral service on Sunday, February 10, at 2 p.m., both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro, with Rev. Larry Harrison officiating. Interment in the spring will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Stewiacke. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association.
