SCOTT - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2005, in the Martin & Castille Funeral Home in Scott for Annie S. Dugas, 82, the former Annie Savoie, who died Monday, Aug. 1, 2005, at Lafay- ette General Medical Center.Interment will be in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Scott.The Rev. John Primeaux, grandson of Mrs. Dugas, will conduct the funeral services.Musical selections will be "How Great Thou Art", "Stand- ing on Holy Ground", "Amazing Grace", "I'll Fly Away" and "It Is Well With My Soul".Mrs. Dugas was a native of Bristol and a resident of Scott for 60 years. She worked for many years at Trappey's Cannery. Mrs. Dugas loved quilting, trav- eling with her husband and loved children. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and was the matri- arch of her family. Mrs. Dugas was always available to give a helping hand.Survivors include two daughters, Joyce D. Primeaux and her husband, Charles Primeaux, and Sandra D. Boudreaux and her husband, Corbett "Dean" Bou- dreaux, all of Scott; four grand- children, John Primeaux and his wife, Sandra, Gordon Primeaux and his wife, Michelle, Crystal B. Rawlins and her husband, Ben, and Sherri B. Brasseaux; nine great-grandchildren, Cody S. Boudreaux, Logan Primeaux, Tyler Primeaux, Trey Bou- dreaux, Hannah Pucket, Jacob Brasseaux, Baileigh Primeaux, Jonus Primeaux and John Avery Primeaux; her two sisters, Ame- thilde Guidry and Anna Mae Ayo; as well as her cousin and life long friend, Leta Forrestier; and her special friend, Mayrella Hanks.She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jean B. Du- gas; her parents, Joseph John and Eda Lavergne Savoie; one son, Darrel Lee Dugas; one brother, Alvin Savoie; and two sisters, Mary Lou Terro and Le- dia Savoie.Visitation was observed from 2 p.m. Tuesday and will continue all night until service time in the Martin & Castille Funeral Home in Scott.A rosary will prayed at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2005, at Martin & Castille Funeral Home in Scott.Pallbearers will be John Pri- meaux, Gordon Primeaux, Ben Rawlins, Damian Brasseaux, Co- dy Boudreaux and Michael Ter- ro.Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Primeaux, Corbett "Dean" Boudreaux and Arthur Hebert.The family would like to ex- press a grateful acknowledge- ment to the Hospice of Acadiana, the nursing staff on the 8th floor of Lafayette General Medical Center, Dr. Chi Pham, Dr. Jef- frey Chen, the Magnolia Estates Retirement Center and their 4th hallway nursing staff and her three loving nieces, Merline Woody, Linda Meche and her godchild, Brenda Hanks, as well as her numerous nieces and nephews for their faithful devo- tion.View the obituary and guest- book online at www.mourning.comArrangements have been en- trusted to Martin & Castille Fu- neral Home of Scott, (337) 234- 2320.
