Annie Louise Romans (née Smith) - August 10, 1913 - May 13, 2004 - 90 yrs, Hammonds Plains, passed away peacefully in Parkstone Enhanced Care on Thursday, May 13, 2004. Born in Hammonds Plains, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Swindells) Smith. She attended Baptist Church when she was able and she spent her days looking after her family. Surviving are her daughters, Joan Logan, Middle Sackville; Margaret Rose (James) Grandy, Hammonds Plains; son, Ralph (Janet) Romans, Carleton Place, Ont.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren. Annie was predeceased by her husband, Orman; sister, Floris Manuel. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today, with funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday, May 15, both in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville, Rev. Bill Woodworth officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lower Sackville. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or a charity of choice.
