Annie Lou Mitchell, 83, of Russellville, passed away Monday, March 8, 2010, at Russellville Hospital.Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 11, 2010, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 12, 2010, in the chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Michael Flaherty. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery.She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter D. Mitchell; father, Phillip Pruitt; mother, Nola Pruitt; brothers, George Pruitt, Elvis Pruitt, Clifford Pruitt, Phillip Pruitt Jr. and Lifford Pruitt.She is survived by her daughter, Glenda Mitchell; son, Rick Contreras; brother, Otis Leon Pruitt; grandchildren, Chris Contreras, Tina Bolton, Lemar Darty, Sabin Contreras; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be Ty Bolton, Donnie Pruitt, Ronnie McCaslin, Paul Pounders, Tony Landers and Eugene Martin.The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mid-South Wiregrass and Russellville Hospital ICU staff. Annie was a loving mother who was recently preceded by her husband, Walter D Mitchell, who was a loving father.
