<!-- FH = Shackelford - Casey Chapel 731-989-2421 -->Kathryn Young CarrollHenderson, TN - Annie Kathryn Young Carroll, age 81, passed away December 14, 2011 at the Chester County Healthcare.Mrs. Carroll was born in McNairy County and grew up in Chester County, the daughter of the late Edgar Dwight and Patie Brooksie Tedford Young. She married Lois Wayne Carroll in 1952 and they made their home in Henderson, where Mr. Carroll was Command Sergeant Major of the Tennessee National Guard, and Mrs. Carroll worked over twenty years in the cafeteria at the Chester County Junior High. She was a Girl Scout leader while the girls were growing up, and they were very involved in the Chester County Saddle Club. Mrs. Carroll was a member of the Clarks Creek Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Carroll is survived by four daughters, Kathy Ward (Howard Bud) of Henderson, Anne Duke (Johnny) of Lexington, Judy Shostrand (Mark) of Henderson and Joyce Pruitt (Jerry) of Finger; a son, Larry Carroll (Caroline) of Sikeston, MO; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Fred Young of Henderson, Neal Young of Jackson and Jerry Young of Henderson, and a sister, Claudette Taylor of Henderson.She was preceded in death by her husband, Lois Wayne Carroll in September 1992; two brothers, James Ray Young and Harold Young, and a sister, Maxine Johnson.Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, at Shackelford Funeral Directors - Casey Chapel, with Glenn Harris and Randy Hysmith officiating, with burial in Clarks Creek Cemetery in Chester County.The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel from 5 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Friday.Shackelford Funeral Directors - Casey Chapel, Henderson, TN (731) 989-2421.
