JOHNSON, Annie Kate Alley, 87, of Thomasville, Ga., departed April 10, 2008, at Golden Living Center. Graveside services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2008, at Laurel Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Larry Harris will officiate. Born May 20, 1920, in Walnut Cove, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Fate and Carrie Nelson Alley. In 1936, in Brooks County, Ga., she married Hilton (Shorty) B. Johnson, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker, a member of First Baptist Church, and an avid yard worker and gardner. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Mac and Abbie Johnson, grandchildren, Kathy abd Jimmy Wilson, Jeanna and Michial Mayhall, and David and Angie Johnson, great-grandchildren, Jamey Wilson, Alley Wilson, Endsley Wilson, Pryce Mitchell, Carly Mayhall, Cooper Mayhall, Hilton Johnson, Dorminy Johnson and Jessica Cashwell, and great-great-grandchild, Ty Cashwell. She was preceded in death by brother, Carlos Alley, and sisters, Virginia Alley Cashwell and Doris Alley Dees Rogers.
