Dr. Annie F. Williams was a native of Florida, born on January 29, 1938. She was the seventh child of the late Albert Lee and Noler Lee Bass. She graduated from Temple University, with a B.S Ed. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education; University of Central Florida with a B.S.N.; International Seminary with a Diploma in Theology and from Thomas Brown Bible College with a Doctor of Ministries. Dr. Williams worked in Pennsylvania and Florida over 37 years as a nurse and an educator. She served as a classroom teacher, grade chairperson, expert evaluator and student health service specialist. As a registered nurse she served as a Senior Community Health Nurse and Community Health Nurse Supervisor for the Keech Street Clinic. Dr. Annie Williams was very active in ministry. She was a Sunday School Superintendent, Teacher, Preacher, Intercessor and Pastor. In addition she served as instructor and Dean for the State Congress of Christian Education of the National Baptist Convention and the 2nd Vice President of Pray band. She was also a member of many professional organizations which included the National Education Association, National Black Nurses Association, Nurse for Christ, American Health Association and Phi Kappa Phi. Dr. Williams was a faithful member of Living Faith World Ministries in Daytona Beach. She served on several areas of ministries which included prayer and the mother's board. One of her greatest accomplishments was being the author of her book "Spiritual Mentoring." She leaves to mourn and cherish her memories: Her loving and devoted husband, James R. Williams, in which they shared over 50 years together. sister; Bessie Lee Vapple, Catalina Nursing Home, Daytona Beach, and Ora Lee Miller (preceded her death) brother; John Henry Bass (Francis) St. Augustine, FL, brother-in-law; Richard Miller, Haines City, FL, nieces; Mary Pergusa, James (Willie) St. Augustine, FL, and Vernea Melvin, Daytona Beach, cousins; Belinda Russ & Vickie Carter both of Daytona Beach, God daughters, Edna Long Williams, Debra Baptiste both of Daytona Beach, God sons; Allen Dexter Johnson, Daytona Beach, members of Living Faith World Ministries and a host of other relatives and friends. Calling hours for Annie F. Williams will be this evening (Friday, April 17, 2009) from 5:30 until 8 p.m. at Herbert Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Living Faith World Ministries, Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. where Reverend Tony S. Barhoo is the Pastor.
