Annie Elizabeth Smith, 79, died July 1, 2010, at her home. She was born in Valdosta, Ga., and lived in Snellville, Ga., coming from Indiantown. She was a member and missionary of Apostle Faith Church of Jesus and a member of Evergreen First Missionary Baptist Church, Indiantown. She was a self-employed housekeeper. Survivors include her son, Joseph L. Smith of Snellville; daughters, Eleana Coleman of Snellville, Tequilla L. Porter and Marshell Bush, both of Fort Pierce, Ginika Sawyer of Indiantown and Alberta Spann of Riviera Beach; sisters, Doris Denson and Roberta Williams, both of Detroit, Ethel Wilson of Wachulla, Annie L. Johnson and Katie Williams, both of Valdosta, Ga., and Barbara D. Gordon of Tampa; brothers, Clarence Evans and Frank Evans, both of Valdosta; and 14 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Robert L. Smith; six brothers; and one sister. Services: Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. July 11 at Evergreen First Missionary Baptist Church, Indiantown with a 3 p.m. homegoing celebration at the church. Burial will be July 12 at Port Mayaca Cemetery. Arrangements are by Thorne's Mortuary, Stuart. A guestbook is available at thornesmortuary.com.
