Funeral services for Annie Elizabeth Carter, 88, will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23 at Terry's Mortuary Chapel. Pastor Donald Gover will officiate. Burial will be at Rocky Zion Cemetery, Pell City. Ms. Carter will lie in state at the funeral home until time of service. Ms. Carter died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011 in Pell City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Carter; her parents, Noah and Patsy Coleman; a sister, Mary Coleman; a brother, Green Coleman. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Pell City and Macedonia Baptist Church of Anniston; was educated in the Calhoun County School System. "Aunt Gal" was a generous and kind hearted soul who was always quick to help others. She loved to cook and feed family and friends. Survivors are her niece, Maggie Truss of Pell City; and a host of great nieces and nephews. Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary will direct the services.
