TIFTON, Ga. - Annie Ansur Lee, 95, died Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Ms. Lee was born April 27, 1913, in Dover-Foxcroft, daughter of the late Solomon Ansur and Petrone Racila Ansur. She moved to Tifton, Ga., in 1954, being transferred here by American Woolen Co. as the office manager and paymaster. She retired from Coastal Plain Experiment Station in 1978. She was a member of Saint Anne's Episcopal Church. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maine, Orono, in 1933. Ms. Lee is survived by cousins from Florida, North Carolina and California. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 5, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals, Tifton, Ga. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 6, at Saint Anne's Episcopal Church. Father Ron Davidson will officiate with burial afterward at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Jim Clayton, Van Dow, Bobby Brannen, John Rakestraw, Stacy Duckworth and Jeff Dixon will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Anne's Episcopal Church.
