HomemakerBARTOW -- Mrs. Annette C. Smith of Bartow died of cancer Wednesday (Sept. 24, 2003) at home. She was 78.Born in Unterschleichach, Germany, on July 6, 1925, she came to Bartow from Germany 22 years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of the Women of the Moose in Bartow. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 3 in Bartow. She was a Roman Catholic.Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Arthur R. Smith; daughter, Bernadette E. Adams, Bartow; brother, Fritz Gehrig, Oberschleichach; sisters, Angela Wedemeyer, Eltmann, Germany, Elizabeth Schenk, Offenbach, Germany; one grandson. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 E. Main St., Bartow. Services will be at 10 a.m. at the funeral home chapel.
