BERLIN - Annette S. (St. Croix) Hamel, 85, formerly of Northern Lights residence, died on Monday, Feb. 7, 2005 at the St. Vincent de Paul Nursing Home in Berlin, where she had resided for the past 10 years.She was born in Berlin on Aug. 28, 1919, a daughter of William and Louise (Jobin) St. Croix.A lifelong resident of Berlin, Annette was a member of St. Anne of Good Shepherd Parish. She was a dedicated homemaker, and will be missed by her family. The family includes a son, Wilfred Hamel and his wife Kathy of Lancaster; a daughter, Louise Hamel of Berlin; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Claire St. Onge of Gorham, Rita Dugas of Gorham and Carmela St. Croix of Maine; a cousin, Rolande Cloutier of Berlin; and several other cousins, nieces and nephews. Her husband, Alfred Hamel died in 1969.A Memorial Mass will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 12 at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant Street, Berlin. There will be no calling hours; relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass. Burial will be at convenience of the family at St. Anne Cemetery.The Fleury-Patry Funeral Home of Berlin-Gorham is coordinating final arrangements.
