Clifton Springs - Annette Marie Smith, age 87, passed away on Monday (December 9, 2013) at the Clifton Springs Hospital. In keeping with her wishes there will be no calling hours or services. During WWII Annette learned English and met the love of her life, Alfred E. Smith singing as part of the USO. Annette was always taking care of people, first as a waitress for over 23 years at the Town Pump in Orleans and later at Denny's in Geneva. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and singing. But most important to Annette was family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be sadly missed by all.Annette is survived by her children, Sandra (Joe) DePauw-Ligotti of Rochester, Deborah Smith of Clifton Springs, Tina Smith of Clayton, Michael Smith of Penn Yan and Timothy Smith of Clifton Springs; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.Annette is predeceased by her husband, Alfred E. Smith and son, Patrick Smith.Arrangements have been entrusted to the Patrick Funeral Home, Clifton Springs.
