DARBY, Mont. - Mrs. Annette Alpha Smith, age 95 of Darby, died Monday, June 9, 2003. Funeral services will be announced by Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home, Aiken, S.C. Mrs. Smith was a native of Aiken, S.C. and the daughter of the late Alfred and Rosa Thompson. She was a graduate of Martha Schofield High School and Normal College at South Carolina State College in Orangeburg, S.C. She taught piano and was the organist for Friendship Baptist Church in Aiken, S.C. for 63 years. She is survived by her sons, Retired Army LTC Jason H. Smith, Jr., Paris, France, Retired Army LTC Clarence Smith, Harrisburg, Penn. and Ronald Smith, Darby; seven grandchildren; four great-granddaughters; plus several nieces and nephews.
