Smith , Anne M.Anne M. Smith, age 87 of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late Joseph I. Smith, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2012. Born in Bridgeport the daughter of the late John and Louise Oligino, she had been a Fairfield resident for over 60 years. A graduate of Central High School, Mrs. Smith served in the United States Navy during World War II. She was the retired owner of the Anne M. Smith Real Estate Company in Fairfield. Mrs. Smith was a past President of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce and the Fairfield Board of Realtors. She had a true affection for animals, particularly dogs. Survivors include two children, Bradford J. Smith and his wife Linda Armstrong Smith of Litchfield and Marilyn Smith Barone of Fairfield; two granddaughters, Caroline and Candace; several nieces and nephews, and her beloved Collie Laddie Boy. Friends may greet the family Thursday, September 20, 2012 from 4-8 P.M. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
