Anne Macnamara 1930-2014 Mrs. Anne Natalie Macnamara 84, of Gillespie Road, Grand Falls, NB passed away on April 27, 2014 at the Grand Falls General Hospital. Born in Vernon, BC on February 1, 1930, Anne is survived by her three children; Beverly Wood and Bradley Chard of Grand Falls, NB, Natalie (Roy) Corbett of Victoria, BC, grandchildren Zachary Wood, Callan and Cole Corbett, great-grandchild Isaac Wood, brother Alexander Schmidt of Saint Andre, NB, sister Beverly Smith of Leduc, AB, and 'adopted' grandchildren Christopher, Taylor and Thomas Kirk-Pearson, as well as many nieces and nephews and special friends. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her. Anne was predeceased by parents Jan and Nathalie Schmidt, sister Marlene (Allie) Warner and brother Bill Schmidt. Although she spent her final years in Grand Falls, NB, she resided the majority of her life in Edmonton, where she worked many years at the Bay Southgate as the voice of the switchboard. She was at her best surrounded by her many friends, hosting or attending gatherings at which her many talents and outgoing nature could shine. To celebrate her life, an afternoon tea/open house will be held at the Kirk-Pearson family home, on Saturday, May 24th 1:00 - 4:00 p.m., 14016 - 85 Avenue. Please come enjoy a toast and share your favorite memories of Anne.
