Anne Prentiss Moore died February 14th after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Greenville on January 18, 1947, the daughter of the late Otis Prentiss Moore. She is survived by her mother, Virginia Thompson Moore; a brother, W. Bruce Moore and wife, Carroll Moore of Greenville, a sister, Virginia M. Teed and husband, Roderick Teed of Hilton Head; two nieces; two nephews; and five great-nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her faithful Westie, Mac. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, W.B. and Anne Marshall Mills Moore.After graduating from Greenville High School, she received a B.A. degree from Brenau Women's College and later received a Masters in Education from the University of South Carolina Columbia. Anne worked for the Department of Social Services as a caseworker; an educational counselor at Limestone College; and later as a counselor for the University Center of Greenville.She was presented by the Debutante Club of Greenville. While at Brenau, she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Anne was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church and a faithful member of the Adventurers Sunday School Group, where she had many devoted and loving friends. She was also an active member of her treasured Bluebirds Group.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 200 W. Washington Street, Greenville, SC 29601; the Salvation Army, 417 Rutherford Street, Greenville, SC 29609; or the charity of one's choice.A memorial service will be held at the Harper Chapel of First Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, February 17, 2009, at 2 p.m. Visitation following the service in the Church Parlor.
