Anne Marie Ziegler Lounsbury Ayers August 31, 1919 - October 13, 2011 Dayville - Anne M. Lounsbury Ayers, 92, of Dayville and formerly of Redding died Wednesday, October 13, 2011 at Westview Health Care Center in Dayville after a brief illness. Anne was born in Danbury on August 31, 1919, daughter of the late Agnes Melody Ziegler and Phillip Ziegler. Her husbands Charles Humphries Lounsbury, Jr. and Walter H. Ayers predeceased her. She was also predeceased by nine younger brothers and sisters. Anne is survived by three children, Charles H. Lounsbury, III of Canterbury, Kathryn E. Phenix of Melbourne, FL and Linda A. vanEck of Essex. She is also survived by four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a great great grandchild, and more than 30 nieces and nephews. Anne attended St. Joseph College in West Hartford and was a proud member of the class of 1941. She loved to travel and to entertain family and friends. She was a devoted wife and mother whose focus throughout her life was her family. The family will receive friends at the Hull Funeral Home, 60 Division St., Danbury, CT Sunday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Anne's life will be held on Monday morning at 10:30 A.M. at St. Peters Roman Catholic Church, Main Street, Danbury. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
