Anne Jones was born in New Rochelle on May 29, 1924, the daughter of William Jones who died on February 14, 1956 and of Mary Duffy Jones who died on March 27, 1973. Her mother had emigrated from Ireland. She lived in New Rochelle all her life until going into King Street Nursing Home. In her early years, the family lived on a houseboat off Pelham Road. During WWII, they bought a home on Halcyon Terrace and Anne lived there until the early 1980's. She lived for a number of years in the Colburn Home and through that time was a loyal parishioner of Holy Family Church. She attended public school in New Rochelle and graduated from New Rochelle High School. She worked then for years for St. Joe Minerals Corporation in New York City. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Pat Jones of Shenorock, NY, her nieces, Jacqueline Puleo and Nancy Fay and her nephew, William J. Jones. Anne was predeceased by her brothers, William S. in 1981 and John in 2003. Visiting will be held on Wednesday from 7-9 pm with a Funeral Mass on Thursday, 9:30 am at Holy Family Church.
