Anne J. Pierre, 77, passed away on Dec. 6, 2006, at St. Johns Health and Care Center. Anne was preceded in death by her daughter, Yvonne and is survived by her son, Paul F. Pierre, and daughter, Denise P. Lee; grandchildren, Michelle, Susan, Richard, Steven; great-grandchildren, Aaron, Claudia, Myra, Lauren, Faith, Hope, Andrew and Cinthia; sister, Mary Beasley; and brother, Donald Gray.Anne has been a resident of St. Augustine for 60 years. Anne J. Pierre is remembered by a variety of friends not only through her nursing career at the previous Flagler Hospital but also a couple of nursing homes for a total of 30 years.Also beyond professional activities, travel and hobbies, her personal life was focused on her family and the Catholic faith.Anne liked reading, crossword puzzles and poetry. In fact some of her work can be found in several of the National Register Books of Poetry. The most joy in her life came from watching her family grow. Being part of their lives was important to her."To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world."Anne's family will be receiving friends Sunday, 5-7 p.m. at Craig Funeral Home. A private interment will take place at a later date at San Lorenzo Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Anne's name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
