Anne J. Jones, 90, Port Charlotte, died Nov. 17, 2005, at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte. She was born April 20, 1915, in Cresson, Pa., and came to the Charlotte County area many years ago from there. Dr. Jones was a professor of fine arts at the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania and was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. Survivors include a son, Dr. Evan Davis of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; a daughter, Cienwyn O. Thomas of Cresson, Pa.; a friend, Elizabeth Keith; and four grandchildren. No services will be held at this time. Paul Schelm Funeral Home in Port Charlotte is in charge.
