Mrs. Anne Guthrie McFall, age 70, of Florence, died Monday, May 3, 2004, at her residence after an extended illness.Visitation will be today, May 5, 2004, from 6-9 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Thursday, May 6, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Sherrod Avenue Church of Christ, with burial to follow in Greenview Memorial Park. Officiating at the service will be Cory Collins, assisted by Kenny Barfield. Mrs. McFall's body will be placed in the church one hour before the service.Anne was born in Nashville, Tenn., and moved to Florence with her family at a very early age. She met the love of her life and married George McFall. They would have celebrated 52 years of marriage the 15th day of this month. She was a devoted Christian and worshipped at Sherrod Avenue Church of Christ. Reading was an enjoyable part of Anne's life, as well as playing golf and growing her flowers, which gave peace and joy to her as well as her family. She was retired from Reynolds Metals. Anne was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who will be missed by all.Mrs. McFall was preceded in death by her father, Robert M. Guthrie; mother, Marjorie Patterson Guthrie; and brother, Bobby Guthrie.She is survived by her husband, George McFall, of Florence; son, Chuck McFall, of Collierville, Tenn.; daughter, Kim Dickerson and husband, Davis, of Palatine, Ill.; four brothers, Jim Guthrie, of Albuquerque, N.M., Lowell Guthrie, of Bowling Green, Ky., Winston Guthrie, of Madison, Ala., and Marshall Guthrie, of Bowling Green, Ky.; and four grandchildren, Brad and Will McFall, of Collierville, Tenn., Drew and Austin Dickerson, both of Palatine, Ill.Pallbearers will be Mrs. McFall's grandchildren, Brad McFall, Drew and Austin Dickerson; nephews, Brett, Todd, Chris and Scott Guthrie.Honorary pallbearers will include elders and deacons of Sherrod Avenue Church of Christ.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Shoals, 115 Fairground Road, Florence, AL 35630, Mars Hill Bible School, 1212 Mars Hill Road, Florence, AL 35630, or to Sherrod Avenue Church of Christ, 1207 Sherrod Ave., Florence, AL 35630.Special thanks to Dr. Daugherty, Dr. Patel, Dr. McDonald and nurses of Northwest Alabama Cancer Center.Greenview Funeral Home, of Florence, is directing.
