DAVIS Anne Davis passed away peacefully at her daughter's home on November 16, after a lengthy illness. She was a much loved Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and friend. She is survived by her only daughter, Beth Langille (Rich) and grandchildren, Jennifer and Jeff Langille all of Jacksonville, as well as a niece, Leesa Tallent, Atlanta and nephews, Lee Gargis, Atlanta, and John Gargis, Knoxville. She was also surrounded by many loving friends. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Biglow and Juanita Gargis. Ann was also preceded in death by husbands, Charles E. Ray, Roland Mumford and Latham Davis. Anne was the first female sales person for Foley Lumber Company and a teller at the Barnett Bank and also the Head Teller at the Atlantic Bank in downtown Jacksonville. She was runner-up for Miss Jacksonville and said "she would have won if she had a better talent." Ann moved to Gainesville and quickly became an avid Gator fan and enjoyed watching Football, Basketball and Baseball with her beloved Latham. The family would like to thank Bennie Seth and Ann Johnson, family friends for all their love and support, through these rough times. Also, we would like to thank Coran Martin, Belinda Stocker, Veronica Powe- Jones and John Lord all of Community Hospice. Cryptside services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 27, 2009 at Oaklawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Community Hospice Foundation.
