Anne B. LaValleÉlived four decades in Carlisle, mother of Lowell man; 84 CARLISLE - Anne B. (Cassidy) LaValle, 84, a former 40-year resident of Carlisle with ties to Lowell, died Monday, May 31, at her daughter's home in Abington. She was the wife of Joseph N. LaValle, who died in 1985. She was born on Prince Edward Island on Oct. 1, 1919, daughter of the late Ambrose and Johanna (Murphy) Cassidy, and immigrated to the United States from Canada with her family at the age of 6. She attended Cambridge parochial schools. For many years, Mrs. LaValle was employed at Baldwin, Lima and Hamilton Electronic Co. in Waltham. Mrs. LaValle was a member of the Carlisle Council on Aging. She also enjoyed gardening. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael J. LaValle and his wife Dorothea (Bertsimas) of Lowell; a daughter and son-in-law, Carole LaValle Ventresca and her husband Antonio of Abington. She also leaves five grandchildren, Anne Marie Sorgi of Rockland, Anthony Ventresca of Abington, Michelle Ventresca and Ronald Ventresca, both of Boston, and Malissa Danforth of Derry, N.H.; a brother, James McGuigan of Lorain, Ohio; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Ambrose Cassidy, Margaret Cassidy, Melinda Bradbury and Jerry McGuigan.
