ST. JEAN, Anna R., age 88, of Tampa passed away on August 16, 2014. She was born in Charlemont, MA on March 1, 1926. Anna was raised in Shelburne Falls, MA and moved to Springfield, MA as a young woman. Anna worked in several positions but found the most gratification in raising her two sons, James (Jim) LaPlant and Robert (Bob) LaPlant, and being involved in volunteer work. Anna and her husband, Armand, moved to Tampa in 1988. Their home in Tampa was very close to a golf course and both enjoyed "perfecting" their golf game. She was also a member and very active at St. Timothy's Catholic Church. Anna is survived by her husband Armand of Tampa; her children Jim (Marie) of Nashua, NH, Bob (Angie) of Tampa, FL; grandchildren Eryn (Jon), Kristin (Cory), Kelli, Ma Cai, Brennan (Tara), Aimee and David; great-grandchildren Tyler, Cameron and Liam. Anna was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be greatly missed by all. Funeral services will be private under the direction of Gonzalez Funeral Home.
