Melle was active in arts and crafts with Escambia County and the Homemakers Club. She was a member of East Brent Baptist Church, East Brent Praise Choir and loves Sunday School class.Preceded in death, her husband Gussie Broward Anderson; grandson, Kenneth Dellinger; sister, Mary Nell Haughton Salatino; brothers, Floyd and Clarence Haughton.Survivors include her daughters, Anna Maxine Dellinger (Ted), Pensacola, FL and Barbara Jean Smith (Don), Jackson, MS; grandchildren, Jocelyn Smith Cation (Kevin), St. Petersburg, FL, Sheryl Smith Malamo (Demetrius), Pensacola, FL, Jennifer Smith McElroy (Dennis), Minneapolis, MN, Anita Dellinger Ard (Jimmy), Pensacola, FL and Robert James Dellinger, Panama City, FL.Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home until services begin at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gideons International, East Brent Baptist Church or Samaritans Purse in memory of Melle Anderson.Special thanks to the Veranda personnel, especially the Third Floor for the care provided Melle.
