MILLER, ANNA MAE, age 89, of Louisville, KY, passed away Friday, August 25, 2006 at Baptist Hospital East. She was the former Anna Mae Bissinger and a long time member of St. Raphael Catholic Church. Anna Mae loved to play cards and make crafts and holiday favors for her friends at the Franciscan Home. She was a member of the Catholic Golden Age Club and the Red Hat Society. She and her husband were former owners of the Variety Store on Texas Street in Germantown and the Pfeffer Bakery on Bardstown Road. She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, Phillip L. Miller; and brother, George "Bud" Bissinger. She is survived by a sister, Sylvia Kleier (Clifford); nieces, Nancy Miller (Tom), Carol Runner (Bobby), Diane Moore (Jim), Joanie Doninger and Leona Bissinger; nephews, Dan Kleier (Cathy) of Maryland, Jack Kleier, Ron Kleier (Connie), Charles "Buddy" Bissinger (Pat), Teddy Bissinger (Trina), Johnny Bissinger, Donald Bissinger (Jeanine), and Scott Bissinger (Katie); and many adoring great and great-great-nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a special family, Celine and Roger Kremer, and their children and granddaughters who deeply loved and cared for her. The family and friends of Anna Mae would like to sincerely thank the Franciscan Family and Baptist Hospital East Palliative Care staff for the special care and attention given to her in their facilities. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 28, 2006 at Our Lady of Hope Chapel (Franciscan Assisted Living Home), 3625 Fern Valley Road, with entombment to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Sunday at Ratterman and Son's, 3800 Bardstown Road. Memorial offering may be made to Franciscan Home, Mass of the Air, or Baptist Hospital East Palliative Care.
