Anna Mae Age 86, of Elmira Heights, NY, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2005, at Elcor Health Services, Horseheads, NY. Anna was born May 21, 1918 in Elmira Heights, daughter of John and Anna Hnatyk Melnick. She was retired from F M Howell in Elmira after 40 years of service. For many years, Anna was a communicant of St. Casimir's Church, and most recently at Our Lady of Lourdes, was a member of Zonta Club, and the Birthday Club of Elmira and the Heights. Surviving Anna are daughters and a son-in-law, Ann Davis of Schaumburg, IL, Karin and Robert Kurcoba of Elmira; a loving sister and best friend, Alice Anderson of Elmira Heights; grandchildren, Anne (Steve) Coulter of CA, Michelle (AJ) Ross of CA, Bryan (Chrissie) Kurcoba of Elmira, Kevin Kurcoba of Jeffersonville, NY, Robert Kurcoba of Elmira; great-grandchildren, Shaun Michael and Jordynn Ashley Kurcoba, Mari, Hope, Joshua, Catherine, and James Coulter, Robin, Anthony, and Shayna Ross; along with several nieces and nephews. Anna was predeceased by her parents; husband, James Jones; a brother, Emil Melnick; and a sister, Irene Kopko. Friends are invited to call at Ballard & Lindgren Funeral Home on Friday, May 13, from 4 to 7 p.m. There will be a Prayer Service at the funeral home on Saturday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Lourdes Church in West Elmira at 10 a.m. The family will provide flowers. Memorials in the name of Anna Mae Jones may be directed to Southern Tier Hospice, 11751 E. Corning Rd., Corning, NY 14830.
