ANNA LOUISEPICKETT, 81Homemaker LAKELAND - Mrs. Anna Louise Pickett, age 81, died of lymphoma cancer Thursday (January 13, 2011). Born in Houston, TX, on Dec. 11, 1929, she was a lifelong resident. She was a homemaker, pianist and member of Highland Park Church of the Nazarene. She was known throughout the state for playing at weddings, funerals and several churches. Louise and Clifford were married Dec. 20, 1947 at First Church of the Nazarene by Rev. Ferdon. Mrs. Pickett is survived by her husband Clifford L. Pickett, Lakeland; son Dale A. Pickett and wife Charlotte, Winter Haven; daughters Sylvia Jean Andrews and husband Kenneth, Salisbury, N.C., Janet Louise Sharrett and husband Tom, Lakeland; brother John J. Vickers and wife Joyce, Morriston, FL; sister Melba Jean McKenzie and husband Ray, Winnsboro, S.C.; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 18 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Highland Park Church of the Nazarene. Services will follow at 11 a.m. at Highland Park Church of the Nazarene. Interment will be in Lakeland Memorial Gardens. Lanier Funeral Home.
